Hello Kindergarten Parents!!

Our plans for next week (February 20-24) are:

Reading

We will be reading Jump into the Jungle by Theresa Volpe.  We will be reviewing the consonant /j/, working on classification, reviewing sight words, and writing sentences using a capital letter at the beginning, correct spacing between words, and punctuation.

Math

We will be starting our unit on telling time.  We will work on this for the next few weeks.  We will also be reviewing money, counting by 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s to 100, and practicing our color words and number words. 

Religion

As this Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, we will be discussing what Lent is all about.  We will start the week off by painting our "stained glass" mural to go on the bulletin board in the hallway.  It will be beautiful when it is finished!!

Theme   

Our theme for this week will be dental health and making healthy choices.  We will do projects, read books, and play games as we explore how to take care of our teeth and our bodies.
